Hey everyone and welcome back for another deep dive. Today we are talking crypto.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah.
Speaker 1:Specifically what December might have in store for well, bitcoin, ethereum. And altcoins and altseason right. Everyone's been waiting for it.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So our guide for this deep dive is an email newsletter hot off the press, from Cycles Edge. It's titled December Will Be Big Crypto Peace in December 1st 2024.
Speaker 2:Love it.
Speaker 1:So are you ready to jump in?
Speaker 2:Absolutely. I'm always ready to talk crypto, and what I find really interesting about Cycles Edge is that they use a lot of different indicators and kind of combine them all together to try and paint this comprehensive picture of what they think is going to happen.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so let's unpack it right. So Bitcoin yeah, they start off talking about Bitcoin.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:Bitcoin is currently kind of just chilling under $100,000.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's hanging out.
Speaker 1:After a little dip down to like $91,500.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:They seem to think it's going to hang out in this range for a bit before making another move upwards. Uh-huh, range for a bit before making another move upwards. What do you think about that? I think that's a very reasonable prediction. I mean, you have to remember that Bitcoin has been on a tear this year, oh yeah, I mean it's been absolutely-.
Speaker 2:Huge gains, huge gains.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so a period of consolidation is not unusual at all.
Speaker 2:Right, it needs to take a breather.
Speaker 1:It does. Yeah, it needs to catch its breath. Yeah, and you know, they even point to this thing called hidden bullish RSI divergence.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Which essentially means so essentially what that means is that, even though the price pulled back, the underlying momentum is still strong. Ah, interesting. Which is a good sign for potential future growth.
Speaker 2:So not all dips are created equal.
Speaker 1:Exactly, exactly, exactly.
Speaker 2:some dips are healthier than others all right now they do mention this critical support level at ninety one thousand five hundred dollars for Bitcoin yeah what happens if things take a turn for the worse and it drops below that?
Speaker 1:right.
Speaker 2:Well, that's where things could get a little bit more turbulent right and they've actually laid out some specific price targets if we see a deeper correction.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:So they say $88,700.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Then $85,000.
Speaker 1:All right.
Speaker 2:And then finally the daily 55 EMA. Yeah, sitting around $81,500.
Speaker 1:Okay, so if you're holding Bitcoin, if you're holding Bitcoin you might want to. Keep an eye on those numbers.
Speaker 2:Keep an eye on those levels. Yeah, just in case.
Speaker 1:Just in case.
Speaker 2:Just in case.
Speaker 1:OK, noted. So how does Ethereum's forecast compare to Bitcoin's?
Speaker 2:That's a great question.
Speaker 1:It sounds like ETH has been kind of flexing its muscles lately.
Speaker 2:Yeah, ethereum has been looking pretty strong Right and it just recently broke through that three thousand five hundred550 resistance level.
Speaker 1:Yeah, with some gusto. With some gusto, I like that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was a decisive break.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:And you know they're anticipating it could head towards $4,000. Wow, potentially even pushing beyond that to new all-time highs.
Speaker 1:Really Okay yeah.
Speaker 2:Pretty exciting stuff.
Speaker 1:Wow, okay, but wait before we get too excited. Didn't they also mention a possible pullback for Ethereum as well?
Speaker 2:You're right. You're right to be cautious. Okay, it's not all you know sunshine and rainbows. Okay, Even though the overall sentiment is bullish, a pullback is still a possibility, especially before that big run at new highs.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:So that $3,550 level is definitely going to be key to watch.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:If it dips below that, it could even retrace down to $3,250. Oh wow, but you know they don't see this as the most likely scenario.
Speaker 1:Okay, so both Bitcoin and Ethereum have the potential for some upward movement.
Speaker 2:Hooray.
Speaker 1:But there's also the chance of some dips along the way.
Speaker 2:Exactly.
Speaker 1:Sounds like December could be a bit of a roller coaster.
Speaker 2:I think so yeah.
Speaker 1:Buckle up. Yeah, I'm curious about this divergence in their price action.
Speaker 2:What does that tell us about the bigger picture, do you think? Well, I think it's important to remember that this isn't a zero sum game. Right, you know, both cryptos can thrive, but their journeys might look a little bit different in the short term.
Speaker 1:Right, okay, and speaking of those different journeys, they really emphasize this ETH-BTC ratio. Yes, yes. Can you break that down for me?
Speaker 2:Sure. So the ETH-BTC ratio is basically like a scorecard for how well Ethereum is doing compared to Bitcoin.
Speaker 1:Gotcha.
Speaker 2:And what they're predicting is a bounce in this ratio, meaning that Ethereum might actually outperform Bitcoin in the coming weeks. Okay, which would be very interesting. Yeah, especially for those who are into altcoins, right, right, because that could be a sign of you know things to come.
Speaker 1:All right. So we've got potential price movements Right For Bitcoin and Ethereum? Yes, but what about timing?
Speaker 2:Timing is movements for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Yes, but what about timing? Ah, timing is everything, isn't it it?
Speaker 1:is.
Speaker 2:So this is where CyclesEdge's proprietary cycle forecasts come into play.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:They don't just look at traditional charts and indicators right. They take into account these special cycles that, according to them, can influence market timing.
Speaker 1:So they talk about the cycles composite, the energy cycle and the seasonal cycle.
Speaker 2:Those are the three.
Speaker 1:And they're very clear that these forecasts don't give specific price targets.
Speaker 2:Correct, correct.
Speaker 1:Just the direction of the price movement with respect to time.
Speaker 2:Exactly, exactly.
Speaker 1:Okay, so what is this compass, so to speak?
Speaker 2:Right, it's like a compass.
Speaker 1:Say for Bitcoin? When should we be looking out for these potential moves up or down?
Speaker 2:So their analysis is suggesting we might see a pullback or maybe even just some sideways movement for Bitcoin between now and December 13th.
Speaker 1:OK.
Speaker 2:But after that all systems go for further upside into year end, with all three cycles pointing upward.
Speaker 1:Oh, wow.
Speaker 2:So that's pretty interesting.
Speaker 1:All right. Ethereum's forecast is a bit different, though, right.
Speaker 2:Yeah, ethereum's got its own unique rhythm.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:So their forecast shows Ethereum on an upward trend until December 6th.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:And then things get a little bit trickier. Potentially a dip or sideways movement until December 15th, but after December 15th they are also predicting a strong move upwards for Ethereum as well.
Speaker 1:So, even though the paths might be slightly different, it sounds like they kind of converge. They bull In the second half of the month. Yeah, yeah, so that's definitely something to keep an eye on.
Speaker 2:Definitely, definitely, and they're quite bullish on this alignment.
Speaker 1:Oh really.
Speaker 2:They even go so far as to say the second half of December is the time to get aggressively long from a timing standpoint.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:But of course, as always, it's important to proceed with caution.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:And at your risk accordingly.
Speaker 1:Absolutely Sound advice. Now. We can't wrap up this deep dive without talking about alt season.
Speaker 2:The elephant in the room.
Speaker 1:I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2:I know exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 1:When all those cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin get their chance to shine.
Speaker 2:It's altcoin season.
Speaker 1:It's altseason.
Speaker 2:Everyone gets excited. It's very exciting.
Speaker 1:And Cycles Edge has been dropping hints about alt season picking up steam for a while now.
Speaker 2:Yes, they've been hinting at it.
Speaker 1:And they introduced that index remember.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:To track this whole phenomenon.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it tracks the percentage of the top 50 cryptos.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:Excluding stable coins that are outperforming Bitcoin over a 90-day period.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So it's a pretty clever way to gauge the overall strength of the altcoin market.
Speaker 1:And guess what? In their last update, this index was sitting at 43.
Speaker 2:43.
Speaker 1:And now it's jumped all the way to 69.
Speaker 2:69. Wow, that's a big jump.
Speaker 1:That's a huge jump.
Speaker 2:Huge jump.
Speaker 1:That means.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and that's exactly what they're saying.
Speaker 1:Altcoins are on the move.
Speaker 2:Altcoins are on the move, yeah.
Speaker 1:They have it's here, yeah, and what's really exciting is they think this altcoin market still has lots of room to run up.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's the exciting part, right, we could just be getting started.
Speaker 1:It sounds like we're just getting started. Yeah, stay tuned, because next we'll explore their analysis of specific altcoins.
Speaker 2:Ooh.
Speaker 1:Like Solana XRP and a few others that might surprise you. Sounds good, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 2:Stay tuned, welcome back. All right, so before we jumped into the break, yeah. We were getting pretty pumped about the potential of alt season.
Speaker 1:We were, we were.
Speaker 2:So now let's actually zoom in.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:On some specific alt coins that Cycles Edge analyzed in their newsletter.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm excited to hear your thoughts on this, me too. So they cover kind of a range of players from heavy hitters like Solana XRP Binance Coin to the ones with a little more.
Speaker 2:You know, meme factor, shall we say. So Dogecoin and Cordano also made the cut.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a pretty fascinating mix.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it is. And for those who are following along at home, just remember that Cycles Edge reserves these specific altcoin analyses for their paid subscribers. All right, but even just knowing which coins they're focusing on can give you a sense of what's catching the attention of some serious crypto investors.
Speaker 1:Okay, so let's break it down. Solana, xrp, binance Coin, I mean, these are names you can't escape you can't escape them. In the crypto world. What makes them so interesting?
Speaker 2:Well, I think each of them kind of represents a different slice of the crypto ecosystem. So you have Solana, which is all about speed and scalability. They're trying to build a blockchain that can handle a massive amount of transactions quickly and efficiently OK. And then you have XRP, which is still kind of battling it out with the SEC.
Speaker 1:That's right In that long running.
Speaker 2:In that long running legal saga.
Speaker 1:Legal battle yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:But it's holding its own remarkably well. Yeah it is. And then there's Binance coin, which is the utility token of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Speaker 1:Binance, binance, right yeah.
Speaker 2:So it's kind of.
Speaker 1:Deeply embedded. Deeply embedded In that ecosystem.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly so each has its own story, its own potential. Right and Cycles Edge dives into all the specifics of their forecasts for each coin.
Speaker 1:That's fascinating and it's amazing how diverse the crypto landscape is.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Even just looking at those three examples.
Speaker 2:It really is.
Speaker 1:And then, of course, we have the wild cards.
Speaker 2:The wild cards Dogecoin, cardano.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you gotta love them.
Speaker 2:I have to admit, the Doge phenomenon never ceases to amaze me.
Speaker 1:It's pretty incredible.
Speaker 2:It started as a joke.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But it's gained this massive following. I know it's even caught the eye of some influential billionaires.
Speaker 1:Billionaires yeah, Whose names we won't mention?
Speaker 2:Whose names we won't mention?
Speaker 1:Yeah, but you know it's a testament to the power of community and, let's be honest, a bit of internet-fueled mania.
Speaker 2:It is.
Speaker 1:It is, but it also reminds us that in crypto, sometimes what starts as a meme can evolve into something much bigger Right. And that's kind of what Cycles Edge is diving into with their analysis of Dogecoin. Yeah yeah, is there more to this meme coin than meets the eye?
Speaker 2:Exactly.
Speaker 1:Right. And then we have Cardano. Cardano, often praised for its scientific approach to blockchain development.
Speaker 2:Yes, they're very serious over there.
Speaker 1:Very serious. They're aiming to be a platform for secure and sustainable decentralized applications quite a contrast to the meme-driven world of Dogecoin, Totally different worlds. Yeah, what stood out to you about CyclesEdge's analysis of Cardano?
Speaker 2:Well, I think their analysis is really focusing on its potential as a platform worlds yeah, what stood out to you about Cycles Edge's analysis of Cardano? Well, I think their analysis is really focusing on its potential as a platform for real world use cases. So they explore the progress of Cardano's development roadmap, particularly their focus on building decentralized finance applications, defi, and they also talk about the potential impact of its growing ecosystem of developers and partnerships.
Speaker 1:So we've got exciting altcoins with their unique stories and potential, and Cycles Edge provides tailored forecasts for each. But they didn't stop there, did they?
Speaker 2:No, they didn't.
Speaker 1:They also threw in an analysis of microstrategy.
Speaker 2:Yes, very interesting.
Speaker 1:And, if I remember correctly, this was at a member's request.
Speaker 2:You've got a great memory. That's exactly right. Oh wow, and you know this speaks volumes about their approach, right?
Speaker 1:Yeah, they're not just broadcasting information into the void, yeah, right.
Speaker 2:They're engaging with their community.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And responding to their interests.
Speaker 1:Yeah, their interest, so the fact that someone requested. This is quite telling. It is For those who might not be familiar. Microstrategy is a business intelligence firm that's gone all in on Bitcoin.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they hold a massive amount of Bitcoin on their balance sheet.
Speaker 1:That's right.
Speaker 2:Their CEO, michael Saylor, is a well-known Bitcoin evangelist. Yeah, Essentially turned his company into a proxy.
Speaker 1:Wow For Bitcoin investment. So analyzing micro-strategies like looking at Bitcoin.
Speaker 2:Through a different lens.
Speaker 1:Through a different lens.
Speaker 2:Exactly. It provides insights into how institutional investors are approaching this asset class.
Speaker 1:Okay, that adds a whole new layer to this deep dive.
Speaker 2:It does.
Speaker 1:We've got market cycles. Yep, that adds a whole new layer to this deep dive it does. We've got market cycles alt season and now a glimpse into the world of institutional Bitcoin adoption.
Speaker 2:And it's all connected.
Speaker 1:It's all connected. What were some of the key takeaways from their analysis of MicroStrategy?
Speaker 2:They explored the potential impact of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings on the company's financial performance. They also examined the risks and opportunities associated with this strategy, considering factors like Bitcoin's volatility and the evolving regulatory landscape. It's a really interesting analysis.
Speaker 1:It sounds like they're really trying to connect the dog.
Speaker 2:They are.
Speaker 1:Yeah, or their readers, showing how these different pieces of the puzzle fit together.
Speaker 2:Right, it's not just about.
Speaker 1:It's not just about individual coins.
Speaker 2:Individual coins.
Speaker 1:Or market trends. It's about understanding that bigger picture.
Speaker 2:The bigger picture Exactly, and that's what makes this newsletter so valuable, right? They're providing that holistic view.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Of the crypto landscape.
Speaker 1:That's right.
Speaker 2:Helping readers connect those dots.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Between market cycles, alt season and the growing involvement.
Speaker 1:It's all connected.
Speaker 2:Of institutional players.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this is really shaping up to be a December to remember.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah.
Speaker 1:In the crypto world. Buckle up, but before we get ahead of ourselves, OK. Let's step back and consider what this all means for you, the listener.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's the important part.
Speaker 1:Why should you care about these cycles, alt season and micro strategies, Bitcoin bet.
Speaker 2:Good question.
Speaker 1:Stay with us, because that's exactly what we'll unpack next. Ok, so we've covered a lot of ground here. We have. From Bitcoin.
Speaker 2:Ethereum. Yeah, altseason, the frenzy of altseason.
Speaker 1:MicroStrategy.
Speaker 2:MicroStrategy their big Bitcoin bet. It's a lot to take in.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a lot to digest. But now for the big question what does all this mean for you, the listener?
Speaker 2:All right, that's the million dollar question.
Speaker 1:Yes, it is.
Speaker 2:We can talk all day about, you know, hearts and cycles and all this, all the technical stuff, the technical stuff, but ultimately it's about how you can use this information to actually make decisions.
Speaker 1:Make informed decisions. That's right.
Speaker 2:In your own crypto journey.
Speaker 1:So let's connect the dots. You can form decisions that's right In your own crypto journey. So let's connect the dots. Cycles Edge is painting a picture of a December that could be pretty explosive for crypto.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'd say so, wouldn't you say Definitely.
Speaker 1:Bitcoin and Ethereum both have some bullish signals flashing, even though their timelines might be a little different. What are your thoughts on that?
Speaker 2:Well, I think you know it's definitely an exciting time to be following the markets.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And what I find really interesting is that convergence.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Of those proprietary cycle forecasts that they use.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:Remember, they're seeing a potential upswing for both Bitcoin and Ethereum in the latter half of December Right, and if their analysis proves accurate, that could mean some.
Speaker 1:Pretty significant.
Speaker 2:Pretty significant gains.
Speaker 1:For investors.
Speaker 2:For investors who are positioned correctly.
Speaker 1:Who are positioned correctly, exactly.
Speaker 2:And we can't forget about the altcoin market.
Speaker 1:Oh, no, of course not.
Speaker 2:It's officially altseason.
Speaker 1:It is altseason.
Speaker 2:And, according to Cycles Edge, there's still plenty of room for growth. It is alt season and, according to Cycles Edge, there's still plenty of room for growth, lots of room to run? What advice would you give to listeners who are eager to kind of jump into this altcoin frenzy?
Speaker 1:My advice would be enthusiasm is great.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:But don't let it cloud your judgment.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:This is a volatile market, remember.
Speaker 2:Yes absolutely.
Speaker 1:Potential for big wins is there, but so is the risk.
Speaker 2:That's right. So do your research, dig into the projects that you're interested in Absolutely and never invest more than you can afford to lose. Absolutely. Sound advice. Risk management is key. Absolutely. Fomo can be a dangerous beast in the crypto world.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:Now we've talked a lot about technical analysis.
Speaker 1:Market cycles, but you hinted earlier at another crucial dimension. Yes, these fundamental developments.
Speaker 2:Yeah, all this technical analysis is important. Yeah, but it's only part of the story, right? I mean, the crypto space is constantly evolving, that's right. New technologies, regulations are shifting.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Adoption is growing. Yeah, at a rapid pace. All the time, and these fundamental factors are going to shape the long term trajectory of the market, probably even more so than the short term cycles.
Speaker 1:That's a really good point. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of the price movements.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah.
Speaker 1:We need to remember that crypto is much more than just a speculative asset, it's a technology, it's a movement. It is, it is.
Speaker 2:It's potentially a game changer.
Speaker 1:In so many different industries. So, as we head into this potentially explosive December, Buckle up. I'm curious to hear from you, the listener Do you think this will be the month crypto truly explodes?
Speaker 2:Yeah, what do you think?
Speaker 1:What moves are you watching for? What questions are swirling in your mind after this deep dive? Let's keep the conversation going and until next time, happy investing. May your portfolios be evergreen.
Speaker 2:See you later.
